I had a gel pedicure done here today and was disappointed with the quality. I originally wanted a chrome powder design. The technician, Cindy, kept repeating that it would cost an extra $15. I said OK and was willing to pay the additional charge, but she continued bringing up how expensive it was. I found that very unprofessional and uncomfortable. If a service is available and a customer agrees to the price, there is no need to repeatedly emphasize how expensive it is. If the technician was not comfortable doing the design, it would have been better to simply say so. As a result, The nail surfaces are uneven and bumpy, and several of the toenails were not filed straight. I noticed the issues immediately after leaving the salon. The color looks nice, but the shaping and finishing work were rushed and lacked attention to detail. Unfortunately, this was not the level of service I expected. What is make this worse, I was charged what was labeled as sales tax on my receipt because I paid with credit card. Is that tax actually being reported and paid to the state, or is it a credit card processing fee? Can you tell me whether that amount is actually being remitted to the government as sales tax? Avoid this place. Reply: I am not interested in a redo. I only expect a full refund. Your front desk asked for my phone number when I checked out so I believe the salon should have contacted me directly instead of asking me to reach out after I left a review. If this matter is not resolved promptly, including my concerns regarding the charges listed on my receipt, I will file a complaint with the appropriate New York State authorities for further review.
